Bios:

Tomás was born and brought up in Buenos Aires and has been a professional Argentine Tango dancer, performer, and teacher for nearly 30 years. He regularly tours the United States and Canada for seminars and special events. His advanced pedagogy and style, combined with his unique ties to the culture that gave rise to the dance, makes him an unparalleled bridge between traditional tango and the newer tendencies. Website.

A powerhouse of Tango, Rebecca ran one of the most established Tango programs in the country (Dance Manhattan in NYC) for twenty years, until that studio had to close.  A longtime collaborator with Daniel Trenner, Brigitta Winkler, and Evan Griffiths, Rebecca brings her own dimension of Tango gentleness, sharpness, brilliance, and wit. As a teacher, she is insightful and encouraging; she acknowledges one’s pain and triumph, and is a rich resource for countless ideas and artistic innovations.
When Tango Uprising festival in Helena invited Rebecca to teach in April 2017, it was the beginning of a long love affair between Rebecca and Montana. She’s been back to Helena to teach many times – this is her first time teaching in the Missoula area. This will be her allllmost her first time collaborating with Tomás.

Paul Lohman: As a lifelong Minnesotan, Paul discovered that a good hug was important to surviving the winters and thus enthusiastically “embraced” Tango. His love of the dance and of tango music along with his degrees in music combined to create his passion for DJing. He regularly hosts milongas and events in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul including: Milonga Buscándote, Milonga Alquimía, Costa Norte, and Milonga Tango con~Fusion. And he has DJed for numerous other milongas and festivals including: The Maui Embrace, The Colorado Tango Festival, The Twin Cities Tango Marathon (with Sexteto Milonguero), the Heartland Tango Festival and the Tango Teacher Co-op.

Vince Godby: AKA DJ Fancy Pants! Dancing for eight years. Loves the richness and depth of tango music and exploring the space it gives to express ourselves

Paul also teaches classes in tango musicality focusing on the history of tango music and orchestras.  He is the founder of the Twin Cities “Costa Norte DJ Crew” and Milonga Buscándote. Website.
